Does the software on your new computer block cookies from being stored on your disk? Some of the newer security software does. Windows also has an option for this purpose. You must either disable it, or allow cookies selectively by web site. I've also found that some of the software that blocks pop-ups seems to interfere with storing cookies from some sites.
