Jerry, as I see it, the problem is...
In Response To: Re: Chip ID ()

As described in the C/W's guide, the 9th issue has inserts and the 10th issue does not. This would indicate that the chip in question is the 10th issue version.

HOWEVER, since the 10th issue chip is not pictured, one cannot differentiate it (a higher valued chip) from the TCR listed N3911 chip, which is valued for much less.

Please note that the picture you provide does not show color (i.e., on my monitor it looks to be grey, but I know that it should be lt. blue or dk. blue). But becuase colors are different between computers, I cannot say for sure what color it is.

However, the inlay pictured fits the description of N3911, a dk. blue chip. I do not know if the C/W use of "blue" is the same as TCR use of "dk. blue".

To complicate matters more, the TCR indicates N3911 to be a Christy and Jones, which means the hats should be shiny, while the C/W guides indicates that the 10th issue is a not a Christy and Jones issue.

So..... I would suspect that those who have viewed your first post (about 40 people) are not sure and simply have not responded as such.

Might I suggest contacting the authors of both guides and asking their opinions. Or, as a ccgtcc member you might want to take advantage of the Ask the Expert Program.

Here is the link to the Club's .pdf file that lists three Las Vegas Obsolete experts and their email addys. Perhaps they have not seen your question, but you can certainly direct their attention to your post.

I hope this helps.
