denomination or the location when you say they are being "passed around eBay"? Yes, the "President Casino New Yorker" chips are certainly in abundence, however the $1,000 denominations appear to be tougher to get.

I could use the $1,000 chip to round out my set, but I suspect that the final bid for these 5 will exceed what I'd be willing to pay.

Now I do not know what the reality is, but if the chips were ordered for a casino operation, then I suspect that the total number of the highest denomination chip was probably the smallest quantity ordered of the rack.

I guess its always possible that when the operation failed to open and the manufacturer had all those chips on-hand, perhaps additional denomination(s) were produced to enhance the in-bulk sale of the chips.

Anything is possible, but I've not seen the $1,000 in large numbers. But I've also not been looking hard. I just tend to think that there are less of them around.
