Part II Back From Vegas

If you read my first post above I must say I was rushing to finish so I could get to my local pharmacy before it closed. Thus the large number of typing errors ( that plus I can't type worth a darn anymore).

So to continue on my trip report...

New casino visit #1 : Green Valley Ranch. Very nice casino in every way. Friendly staff, great poker room, very reasonable buffet with excellent food. Got smoked at craps ( damn I hate that game).

New casino visit #2 : Hooters. Not impressed! Wasn't terrible, just not a place I would go back to. Played in their poker closet, sorry I mean poker room. It was about the size of a large walk in closet. Only have three tables, very laid back dealers and staff. The majority of players were very young and very very very drunk. ( Duh! It's Hooters, not the Bellagio ).

Most plesant surprise: Ran into this old fart playing video poker! Hey.. it was Chuck Smorse. Had a nice visit with Chuck. Nice guy and very colorfull. He kept us entertained and informed on the ins and outs of the NIS that he and many others provide. Chuck...if you see this post, great meeting you and thanks for the great service you provide for myself and many others in this club.

Only bad expierience: Playing poker at the IP, a cocktail waitress takes my drink order for a bottle of water. She returns 5 minutes later with the water asking who had placed the order. I raised my hand to signal her that it ws me. I was involved in a live hand at the time. She asked again several times and each time I made a jesture and or a verbal call to her. When she finally got around to locating me and giving me my drink I made what I thought to be a harmless comment. " Short memory we have there ehhhh?"
and I laughed as I said it. She responded with
"Boy you are a poker player aren't you...rude!"
To make me feel worse the $1 bill I had extended to her stuck between my fingers as she tried to snap it away, and at that point she waved her hand at me as if to say keep your tip I don't want a tip from you. Ouch I felt bad that she misinterpeted my remark as being mean or rude, I just was trying to make her smile. She was very attractive, but had that "Hey I am a real bi--- don't mess with me" look. Okay then!

Biggest dissapointment: Once again I did not have a chance to hook up with Janice and Jerry
O'niell. Just never could tear myself away from the table long enough to call them. My loss..again.

So to end this report I will only say that it was a great time. Good food good people good gaming. Weather was in the mid to high 60's. I have two or maybe even three trips planned for later in the year and hope they will all be as rewarding as this one was.
