Monte Carlo Coaster-Plaques 2,650,000 fr

I've answered a question about these drink coasters a couple of times on The Chip Board. Here's what they look like. Translucent marbelized plastic about 3 1/2" x 5". All approximately the same size, but slight differences as if they were sawn or finished by hand.

Denominations are hot-stamped gold. The black name and border appear to be silk screened but might also be a hot stamp; anyway, more impervious to alcohol than the gold.

I bought these from a mail order catalog as a gift about 25 years ago. Probably paid all of $10 for the set. They show up from time to time on eBay as real, Monte Carlo baccarat plaques. They actually look pretty nice [g].

Maybe they should go on the club reference page as recent fantasy or reproduction items.
