1.The banquet is worth every minute!
2.You can buy chips from vendors on the bourse floor, and...
3.Bring whatever traders you can carry. Many vendors will accept trades, you will usually come out ahead at the trade sessions,and most people you are trading with will take a small amount of cash to 'even up a deal' if the trade is unbalanced. Be sure both parties are satisfied with a trade and/or purchase before you complete it.
4.I'm one of the few that gets dressed up for the banquet. Most people wear casual dress clothes to the banquet and 'very comfortable clothes' the rest of the time.
5.I doubt there will be a shuttle to the Palms but there are always bunches of us driving over there. There isn't a problem hitching a ride with someone if you need it, but be aware that many of us (myself included) have been known to have a drink or two away from the Splash Bar. You may wind up being the designated driver back to the Riv.
