In my original post I mistakenly listed this chip as equivalent to a $1 chip. After I rehashed the purchase transaction of $10 U.S. for colones value chips I realized this chip is only worth around 25 cents U.S. I should have known that when they wouldn't let me bet them they weren't worth much.
