I was sitting at a Keno machine (I was supposed to be upstairs at the chip show ) at AZ Charlies when the phone rang. It was BriaN F. and he told me that he and Frank L. had just left Hooters. There was a VIP party today prior to the 9PM general public opening. They walked in like they owned the place......which gave me the idea to try the same thing.
Off to Hooters.
I parked, walked around the back to the pool area.....and walked right in. The first two people I saw were Gene Simmons and Michael Burk (Creator or Baywatch). I said hey to Mike and nodded to Gene.
I entered the Calendar Girl Pit and sat down at a BJ table with three Hooters Girls. The dealer was a Hooters Girl as well. The dealers were practicing their dealing skills and they were using old San Remo NCV chips. I may or may not have harvested a few of those chips.
I played for about an hour and wandered around looking for the poker room. I entered the poker room and got on the list. This was around 5:30 PM. The room manager said that they hoped to start a game around 6:00 PM. I asked why the pit tables and slot machines wouldn't be available until 9:00PM while the poker room was kicking off early. I was told that there were some VIPs who wanted to play.
I don't know where the VIPs were, but we started a game with 4-5 Hooters poker dealers and me.
Guess who won the first pot?

One of the dealers took my picture and promised to email it to me. I hope he follows through.
Around 10PM I left the poker room and entered the main casino area. Wall-to-wall people. You couldn't move without the people around you moving. My guess is that the fire marshall was not witnessing that scene.
The calendar girl chips were only available in the "Calendar Girl Pit" (actually, they wouldn't sell any chips from the cage). The tables were $25 minimum, paying 6-5 for a BJ and were packed.
