When I worked for Bell Atlantic ten years ago ... now Verizon ... there was a weight limit policy in effect for outside craftsmen who used bucket trucks. Those who could not shed pounds to accomodate the guidelines were either forced into other titles, if available, or given notice. I believe that some police forces around the country have similar weight restrictions.
