My theory, not supported by my darling partner and wife, Christine, is as follows:

If I ship anything that has a value of more than $25.00 I buy $50.00 worth of insurance ON UP, no cost to the buyer EVER. If I ship anything under $25.00 I claim, as it states on my sales pages, SELF INSURANCE!. It is so much easier to reassure the buyers that their payments are not in jeopardy!

FROM MY SALES PAGE:

WE SELF INSURE! (30 day waiting period & signed statement of delivery failure required)

This also would apply if something broke on the way, obviously!

I beleive my view is, however, in the minority on this BB!

I am really comfortable with this position! The costs are signifigant but acceptable in view of the security provided in terms of peace of mind for me and the buyer!
