Over the past several years I have bid on chips from this dealer who makes the claim you quoted. I won one or more auctions but have not been able to verify the seller's attribution--which doesn't mean it is not true. Some of my New York illegals came from a member of a state investigation agency and though at the tiem there was no certain attribution that attribution came later.
