OK, Now you get my best Governor Story...

Years ago Dick Kneip was Governor of South Dakota. Dick was a wonderful person. He chain smoked Pall Mall Straights. His Desk in the Governors Office was solid cigarette burns all the way around the edge from laying cigarettes down.He usually had 2-4 cigs going at anyone time.

The other thing Dick liked was WILD TURKEY Bourbon. Don't get me wrong, he was a great friend and a wonderful person.Man could he "Turkey Out" with the Bourbon.

My very best Dick Kneip Story when he was governor involves my cousin who was a dispatcher for State Police Radio at the time.

Dick called in one night to the Huron Center. Roy answered and the response was, "G-1 to Huron, I am lost." My cousins response was, "Governor, are there any landmarks, watertowers, or anything else that would help us find you." Roy said there was about a 3 minute delay and then Dick came back and said, "Corn, Lots of Corn." Yep that would narrow it right down...
