Romania chips

Ok, I had an overview of my experience in Romania but I couldn't get a good scan yesterday so I just threw up what I could because I was tired after my long plane rides. So here's a better idea.
No dice at Grand Casino Iasi (pronounced yahsh). I believe there's craps at the Bucharest casinos but i can't be sure as i didn't have time to visit any of them. I understand there may be as many as 10 in Bucharest. 2 of them are owned by Grand Casinos like the one in Iasi.
The story goes something liek this. I went to the casino on Saturday and played some BJ and Caribbean Stud Poker. I grabbed 2 of each chip and left after 4 hours and a $150 loss figuring I can go back later and get more chips. Wrong!! I went back Tuesday and the chips were all brand new rack. The chip with the city is the old chip.
The denominations are a very confusing story. The old money is trying to be phased out for the new money. Basically you need to remove 4 zeroes from denoms to understand. So if something is 100,000 lei, it's really only 10. These chips would be considered snappers I guess because the minimum was 10 RON (equiv to about $3 US) So a BJ would get you 2 of the 2.5's. The 1 Ron and 10,000 lei chips were used on CSP for the bonus. The chips in the rack went as high as 5,000,000 lei and 500 RON (roughly $175 US) They did have US equiv chips also. You couldn't exchange US$ for lei but could exchange US$ for US$ chips. I never got any because they were used on either roulette or blackjack if you wanted your own game. They did have a poker table from what I gathered, never had a game going. They play in Bucharest though one dealer said, but didn't elaborate as to which games.
You'll notice the old chips have the city name on them while the new ones just have Romania. I believe they might have been trying to consolidate their chips to use in all 3 casinos instead of different chips at each, but I have no confirmation of this, just a theory. I hope this answers a few questions. If any more, don't hesitate to ask.
