With the 3rd Annual Super Casino Collectibles Expo coming up this February, I’d like to take this opportunity to assure all potential submitters that Barry and I are working to iron out the problems that we encountered at last year’s Bruce Landau Memorial Auction. We will be making an announcement regarding the changes soon after the first of the year.

With that said, I would like to remind everyone that Barry and I will both be available at the show (February 2nd and 3rd) to accept your auction submissions and, with the submission deadline of February 28th, this would be an opportune time to submit your lots. Please keep in mind that we are not looking for submissions of “low-end” items or pieces that are readily available on the bourse floor. We will have submission forms available at the show, but if you want to have it filled out beforehand, there is a .pdf version of the submission form on the Club website.

Additionally, I would like to make an appeal for donations to the auction. This year we will provide within the auction catalog recognition of the donators of each lot, and you may direct the proceeds of your donation lot(s) to either the Club or the Building Fund. Also, you will receive a form for tax purposes. At last year’s Auction we (and particularly auctioneer Kruse) had a lot of fun with some of the non-chip donations, so please support the entertainment!

Finally, I’ll remind everyone that the annual Bruce Landau Memorial Auction is YOUR auction, and the single largest raiser of funds for OUR Club. You can help keep our Club alive and healthy by supporting the Auction, so bring those collectibles lots to the show or send them in to Barry at the address on the submission form.
