The Isle of Capri DIDNOT take their 2 riverboats up river, to a protected area. They both stayed tied up at their dock at the Isle of Capri Casino. Through out the whole storm. There is even some pictures that was broadcast. Showing the 2 Isle of Capri Riverboats. At and tied up to their docks during the hurricane. That was taken, from the beach accross from the Isle of Capri complex. When the eye was passing and the winds had died down some. And the Weather Channel and other reporters could get out to take some pictures.
My daughter works at the Isle Of Capri, on the boats. She said that some of the boats deck hands. Volunteered to ride the hurricane out on the boats. To tend the mooring lines and protect the boats if possible. They was paid a extra bonus of $1500.00 each for doing this.
