Re: Ray Robins, Elmwood?? 5911 Club

"Ray Robins would come in making his rounds!!!"

The Nasons were the biggest bookmakers in the Tristate area by far up to the 1960's. They put a book in the Merchants Club right after it opened. They invented the satellite booking business. All satellite bets were funneled through the Walk A Show in Elmwood. Ray and his partners were 2nd largest in the booking business at the Blade. Their partnership at the 5911 may have created the bigest book in the country at the time.
