Re: NCR John Zoesch, how'se the quilting going?

Dang - Cindy got back today but I don't think she had that much fun! Nice looking beach and hot tub.

I REALLY need a vacation after this week. Went thru 4 days of continous stress trying to concentrate on a real estate class while worrying about how to get money to the mortgage company to stop them from foreclosing(auctioning) the rehab house we bought. I sent them over $20,000 (sent money 3 times)to cover the $8000 needed to reinstate the loan. They still have not found the first $6000 I wired them. At least I finally got a letter from them late yesterday saying that they took it out of foreclosure mode. Now all I have to do is figure out what the total due is and pay it off. The property, of course, is a lot worse than we even expected. These people lived worse than animals. Doggy doo all over the house, a bedroom with at least 1000 empty Natural Lite cans in it along with hundreds of empty little plastic bags and 3" long straws. I guess things go better with coke. The underlayment in the hallway is urine soaked so bad both the plywood and particle board have to be replaced. The drain pipe from the washing machine became disconnected years ago and all of the water from the washer went down the wall into the crawlspace. So now the wall and flooring have to be replaced.

And the final kicker??? They cared so little about money that I picked up about 10 POUNDS worth of change off the floors. I also found 2 $25 gift cards that may still have some value. Did I mention the boat and trailer? The husband said he wanted the boat (the one with the tree growing out of it)so I gave him until the 21st to remove it. I doubt he will show up by then so then I have to get rid of it. Maybe it is worth a few bucks to someone. At least we have the majority of the clean up work done and are getting ready to start painting. Does this sound like fun or what? grin
