Couldn't check-in, as my roommate (working at Comdex)was on a later flight, and the room was under his name (when you stayed at the HO, it was for the cheap rooms, and you probably spent more time at the Stardust). Went to the bar, got a massive .99ct margarita (only in Vegas, Baby!), and then decided to play keno. $5 ticket came back, giving me my five back; picked new numbers & played it again - keno runner came back looking at the number board and back at my ticket - $600 winner! THANKS HO!
Later that trip, hit a $1,265 progressive (next door at the Stardust), and milked the same carousel for $900 more. Don't know how it happened, but hung out for a few nights with Australian Penthouse pets dancing at the Stardust. During one slot session, I needed to take a break, and one of the gals was watching me play; I had to teach her how to put 3 dollars in and play max credits - on her first spin it hit 3 blue 7s for $300: I split our $1,800 winnings with her (whataguy!- even though she had a boyfriend back home), netting me the $900 win) - Found $3,800 more than I arrived with, in my pocket when I got home: CAN YOU SEE HOW I GOT HOOKED ON VEGAS??? I was there for 5 nights, but I don't think I ever slept in my room at the Ho!
