I agree with you about being remembered. People tend to remember me (my size may have something to do with that).

I make my effort to get chips that may require some effort on the part of the cashier at times when they are slow. If there is a line, they can't really help, but if they are bored, and your polite, they will frequently go out of their way.

While I do tip, I find that Please and Thank You are even rarer in Vegas, so they get a very positive response.
