I don't know why, but I stopped at the Klondike this afternoon for a bite to eat. As luck would have it, on Monday and Wednesday from 11AM until 10PM they offer a free meal with the purchase of a beverage. The soda cost $1.20 plus 9 cents tax. The meal consisted of soup(today it was chicken gumbo) or salad, a slab of ribs, some fries and coleslaw. It appeared as if there was to be a roll as I saw everyone else (but me) get one. Discount the fact that the soup was brought out after the meal and it wasn't bad.
The waitress did go through a spiel about how this was a gambling promotion, although you didn't have to gamble to get the deal. No strings attached as far as I could tell.
