What I was describing doesn't involve right clicking or saving as.... It is the copying or printing of your screen. Whenever I encounter the situation that you mention. About proprietary software. This is the go around that I use. The downside of Print Screen is that it will show the header lines and footer lines of your screen as well. Also, make sure you move your cursor out of the picture as that will be captured as well. What you are doing is copying your entire screen and putting it into a document. Here, let me try something.

Once I have the image copied into Photoshop, I can then crop out all the extra info and isolate on the image itself. I often do this with games etc.
