One thing to note. I tried to play the first $1500 No Limit event this year. I got there Thursday night for a Friday start (as I have in years past).

When I got to the Rio Thursday night to get my creditials and buy-in, there were already 2100 players plus 200 alternates paid. They ended up getting all 400 alternates who signed up a seat (as people busted out) but I'd suggest that you get there EARLY to sign up.

If you know you are going to play you can actually sign up via wire transfer prior to the start of the event and just come in to pick up your seat assignment.
