Not to criticize but...

That is the 3985, part of the Heritage Fleet.

Incredible equipment still maintained to pure perfection...

The other thing is the sound that you get to hear...it's PURE POWER.

They also have the "BIG BOY"...Now, that's some power...If you ever get a chance to see and hear that piece of equipment you will stand in awe.Designed as the most powerful steam locomotive ever built. They had both double headed this summer between Denver and Cheyenne for Frontier Days...

Union Pacific has done a good job of preserving this vintage equipment. I just wish they would have kept one of the Gas Turbines. 10,000 HP and burn up more fuel than you could imagine.Break windows and do damage when running thru towns.

They are not the nicest people to work for(Notice I didn't call them scumbags), but they have done a fine job of preserving this great old equipment.

They also have a couple old Rotary Snow Plows that are very operational. These things are massive and the Burlington Northern rented them with the UP Steam team a few years ago to clean their lines in Northern South Dakota and North Dakota.

I will try and get some pics of them posted later on...

Hope all is well with everyone.

Mark
