If chipping is your objective....you can do quite a few things to maximize your harvesting.

Be Prepared !
~Know what each casino has. Check with Paul Hegges Nevada chip website ( http://www.silver-state-treasures.com/nevada.htm ) Look at what each casino has in the way of chips. Granted, the site doesn't show whats current and what's obsolete. But you'll still get an idea of whats open, what's not and generally who has chips.

Also check Andy Hugh's website. He always has his finger on the pulse of Las Vegas chip releases. His site is updated all the time, and he has scans. New chips even have a little "new" picture. His website is: http://www.nevadacasinochips.com/

What I do, is save the scans of new chips I want to pick up onto my hard drive, and then put them all into a word document. From there, before I leave on the trip, I make a print out with all of the chip pictures. That way, I know exactly where i want to go and what I want to get.

Get a map! See where all the casinos are.

Make a plan! Write down the casinos you want to get to that are in one area.

Get a Car! If you really want to make the most of your chip run, a car will make all of the difference in the world! A cab ride from the Bellagio to the Cannery will probably cost you around $25.00 each way. Having the car also allows you the ability to make a run out to Boulder Hwy, where you'll find a gazillion casinos. You'll take the quick drive down Boulder Hwy hitting all those casinbos, and then visit Henderson where you'll get a ton more!

Don't waste time doing things you really aren't into. If you aren't into slot cards, don't bother with signing up. It's a really time eater. I know first hand.

Remember you don't have to play 45 miinute on the slot machine in every casino you go to. A quick in and out will work very well. Then, maybe play at every third casino for just a few minutes. Pick the your playing places.

If you're asking for chips at the cage, mention that you want them for souveniers. Most of the time, the cashier will pick you out some better condition chips. Many times, they have uncirculated chips right there that they'll give you if they know thats what you'd perfer.

In closing, I just want to mention that with the cage personnel, oif you have somebody that goes out of their way to help you and spends time finding you chips....tip them a buck or two.

If you're dragging your wife (or a non-chipper) around with you, make it fun for them. Get them involved in one way or another. Also, you might want to give them a $5.00 bill for every casino, and let them take 5 spins on a $1.00 machine. After the 5 spins, they cash out and take the money to the next casino to play it. If they cash out for $2.00, then you give them $3.00 for the next casino. Or the way I like to do it...is give them $5.00 to play in every single casino...but still they only get 5 pulls. See what they end up with. If you have a bigger wallet, make it $10.00 and 10 spins. You get the idea....make it a game for them. I remeber one time while I was in New Orleans with another person from my office, I dragged them out to Biloxi for the day chipping. What was fun for them, was playing one hand of Black Jack at each casino for $50.00 a hand. He won at every single casino there!!! Needless to say, even though he was a non-chipper....this chip run was A LOT of fun for him. He couldn't wait to get to the next casino.

Anyways...I hope some of these ideas are of some use.

Happy Chipping !
