I just got off the phone with him. He sounded good and wondered why Id waited so long to call

The op did not finish until 4am yesterday. They had him up 2 hours later. I did in fact receive a message shortly after that time advising me everything had gone well but wanted to wait until Id spoken to him before posting.

He will move out of ICU later today. It sounds like he will remain in hospital until around Tuesday. Due to the nature of the procedure and providing he is doing nothing more than 'exercising' there is no reason why he cant go back to work (for short periods anyway) about 5 days later.
