Nevada Route Token Of The Day

Todays Route Token from Albertson's. The Albertson's Route Tokens have a large number of different addresses on them and they are all about as plain as they come. The token pictured is their generic token with no address. But Albertson's tokens are interesting to collect because of the sheer number of varieties.

What is a Route Token? Most places that Route Tokens are used are to small to be able to afford their own slot machines. For example a bar may want a few slot machines in the bar. They contract with a company to put the machines in the bar and the company maintains, services and supplies the slots. The company also pays the winners of big jackpots.

For allowing the Route Company to put the slots in the bar, the bar owner receives a percentage of the take out of the machines. So a Route Company can have slot machines in several different locations. The only requirement is that the name of the place the machine is located is on one side of the token and the name of the Route Comapny is on the other side of the token.

I will talk about the more of the above at a later date. For now, that is the simple explanation of what a Route Token is.

Any questions, please post here or email me directly. Remember I also buy and trade for Route Tokens.
