Your daughter is right on...let me see if I recall my taxonomic nomenclature from that old Ichthyology class years ago. Sharks are from the phylum Chordata, then
Vertibrata,
Chrondrichthys,
Elasamobranchii,
Neoselachii
and I get lost after that besacuse I don't know what shark Mike's using.
