Greetings chip collectors - Please take a look at my picture, below. It has always been my belief that the chips shown are early samples, intentionally manufactured this way by Chipco. Is this correct? If so, they are not error chips, they are samples. An eBay auction (link below) caught my eye when a similar chip was described as "RARE BALLY'S CAESARS $5 ERROR CASINO CHIP,TOKEN DOUBLE STAMPED,ONE OF A KIND?,ERROR,CASINO CHIP". That chip sold for some pretty good money. Is the auction chip really an error chip? What can anyone tell me about early Chipco samples? All information is appreciated.
