for sale Town House, Elko, NV - scarce arodie for sale

Charles Fischers note following the original find is below. Out of the 100, there were 85 nice chips. I have 5 very fine examples here. This is a VERY SCARCE and still well underrated Nevada Arodie in any condition. Rich in history. Price is $105 per chip shipped.

“Source Of The Chips”
The chips were purchased from a Donald Pichitt in Mayo, Maryland. He is now 75 years old, downsizing and moving. The chips belonged to his mother Wynitta Gardner Rhineberg - she loved gambling. In the summer of 1952 she went to Reno or Valejevo Nevada to help her brother, Norman Rhineberg at his casino, DOPEY NORMAN'S. He gave her these chips and she brought them back to the east coast.
“The box of 100 is all Donald Pichitt had and the only ones I know of.”

“Allan Myers”
I think the chips are authentic and fantastic. I believe the story about Wynitta & Norman Rhineberg as I know that Norman was involved with several CA card rooms besides Dopey Norman's. We will list it in TCR: TCR Value will depend on sales between now and the next edition.

Charles, there are no available records on hot-stamped Arrowdies. Burt Co records confirm that inlayed Arrowdies were shipped from 1953 to 1967. The Arrowdie mold was found to be unusable in 1967 per Burt Co records. Harvey Fuller confirms the Town House closed in 1958. The opening date was not available to Fuller, more than likely due to the fire at the White Horse Hotel in 1955, where gaming records were kept. Your Arrowdies are well within the time frame. IMO the chips were delivered from Reno Game Supply. Your source of the chips also confirmed The Jackpot Club in Elko and The Senator Club in Carson City had Arrowdies that also came from Norman Rhineberg’s mother. It appears that Dopey Norman was involved in a number of N. NV casinos in the 1950’s. I agree with Allan Myers, “fantastic find.”
IMO, the price you are asking is well below the value of a previously unknown Arrowdie’s true value.
