If you head up to the Black Hawk and Central City areas be aware that most casinos there are getting rid of tokens in the slots and are going towards paper ticket receipts. I was up there a couple of weeks ago in Black Hawk and nearly all of the casinos I went into said they were getting rid of tokens.

On the good side, there are several casino's with fairly new poker tables and new chips. Be sure to head to the Golden Mardi Gras in Black Hawk. All new bright Chipco chips. The Colorado Central Station also has a new rack of $1 chips (Chipco). The Gilpin Poker room has fairly new chips still in good condition too. Worth a trip. Take the new Central City Parkway at the Hidden Valley exit. It's a great new 4-lane highway off of I-70 and gets you to the casino's in no time! Just 30 minutes from Denver.
