This could very well be the case Jim. I personally have seen people (me among them) buy up large quatities of chips from movie and TV show sets. These incude Blue Chip chips from the set of Tilt (an ESPN TV show) and ASM chips from the set of Rounders.

The Rounders buyers (actually two brothers) are selling them off in pairs on eBay for around $150 a pair. Check occasionally on eBay if you want to see what they are going for, it's crazy. But then again, that is the movie that got a lot of these poker crazed people "into" it in the first place.

I am selling off some Tilt chips in singles and in framed sets, but not in bulk. I think there are about 40,000 of those floating around.

ChipTalk.net has a member-2-member classifieds that would be great for you guys to sell or trade chips, as long as no commercial sales go on. There is a "Want To Buy" area too. The members are starting to get into collecting casino chips in addition to their playable sets (this includes my mom who is going nuts on $1 and $5 casino chips).

And Jim's right, we sure could use your expertise in our "Collectibles" forum.
