Once you upload the image without any special characters in the name, copy the entire URL. Then paste (or re-type) the URL into the space provided for Optionl Image URL. Be sure to not have the "http://" appear twice. If you do, you will see the broken image icon.

Also, always try to use the Preview Message feature. If you cannot see the image in the preview mode, no one will see it in the post message view.
