Speaking of Binders
In Response To: anybody selling binders? ()

This suggestion may not apply to a lot of collectors, but if you store your chips in 30 pocket pages and want to maximize storage density, consider these Japanese post binders. They take the standard 3-hole plastic pages, but instead of rings, they have posts. The posts are hollow and have a separate part with pins that slip into the holes. To add a page, you lift up on a release and the front of the binder lies flat. You can then pullout the pins, slip a new page over the posts, and put the pins back in place. If you are inserting a page in the middle of the sequence, you can lift out the front pages with the pins, put the page in, and easily slide all the leading pages back over the posts.

They are relatively expensive but very rugged. Made for salesmans loose-leaf catalogs and such. I use the 3" size which holds about 25 pages (750 chips).

A full binder is relatively heavy; about 15 pounds. I suggest laying the binders flat as with ring binders to keep the plastic page holes from tearing out.

See the link below for one source. It's cheaper to buy and ship 3 binders in a carton.
