Re: WARNING! Newbies beware of dealing w Luke Rapl

Ken,

You definately missed the boat here. You're confusing misrepresentation with cleaning out extra chips.

I have personally known Luke for a number of years. I've traded with him both in person as well as by mail. I've bought chips outright from him, and he from me. In ALL of my dealings over the years, I have not known Luke to be anything but honest, and friendly. Luke is not one to try to take advantage of people, and always tries to make trades as fair as possible. As you become more experienced in trading you'll understand there are some strange situations when trading a group of chips at various and unequal values can be difficult. Luke has been patient, and often times even generous.

I've dealt with many a chipper, and as far as I'm concerned, Luke is a stand up guy. I feel no reservations in giving him my official two thumbs up.

And as for those fantasy chips, they aren't garbage. Many of us collect them as well as chips from casinos. You see...we are "Chip" collectors. We collect personal chips. We collect Borleand fakes. We collect "good for 1 dinner" chips. I for one, am such a person. If it's a chip...there's a pretty good chance I'll collect it.

As, in all of my years knowing Luke, I have yet to hear anything remotely bad about him. Ok, once I had to complain that he was too tall to be standing next to me in a picture. But other than that: nothing!

Now, one final thing. It would be prudent to give yourself a cool off time before posting any sort of post that slams another chipper. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'm going to assume that you got a little flustered after you found out the chip you thought was a real casino, was a fantasy. You then had a knee jerk reaction and thought Luke misrepresented the chips. That would of course need to be assuming that you didn't know how many fantasy and fake chips are commonly traded. So, next, lets also assume that you would be big enough to take a deep breath, and think things through now that you've seen all of the responses to you post. After that deep breath and moment of thought, perhaps you'll realize that Luke just assumed that everyone knew that it was a fantasy chip, and didn't make a point to put it into his post.

Perhaps after that moment of thought...you'll then decide an apology might be in order.
