A well documented post Bob ... and you're close to the tragic action that transpired, but I just wanted to add one more 'fact' that alot of folks seem to forget. The newspapers across the nation, the day after the hurricane's landfall, boasted headlines such as ... "NEW ORLEANS ESCAPES BULLET".

Most everyone in the newspaper and reporting business thought that New Orleans was going to be spared ... until the levees broke ... well after landfall. Now the same newspapers ought to be questioning their own bad judgement calls and finger-pointing at others.

There seems to be enough blame to go around for everybody.
