A Cast Gaming Token- Ranch House

Here's a scan of one of the few Nevada gaming tokens that was die cast rather than struck. Janice's list shows it as made of "pot metal". It's dated 1979, the first year of the second period of token issue, and made by Nevada Chip Company although not mint-marked.

I'm assuming the two round marks on either side of the horseshoe are from the hole in the die through which the metal is injected. One is raised, the other incuse.

Nevada Chip Co. also made a similar 1979 token for the small Claim Stake Casino in Sparks. I don't know of any others of this type, though.

This token is another item I won in the Club auction this year. I believe it is very scarce.
