Get your antivirus SW cheap NCR

I was in Fry's Electronics in Wilsonville, OR today and noticed they had a special on 3-packs of 2005 Norton Antivirus for $9.99 after rebates. This lets you put the current version on three PC's that you own (legally). This is even cheaper that the eBay specials that I have purchased one at a time in the past. This is technically a "competitive upgrade" that requires that you currently run either a purchased Norton antivirus package or someone else's (like McAfee). It doesn't work if your current program is a free copy that came with your PC or some hardware you purchased.

I'm assuming that Fry's everywhere will have a special like this, but you never know till you try your local store. I know there are Fry's in California and Nevada, and probably other western states. If you're a computer techie and haven't discovered Fry's before, be prepared to spend 3-4 hours there... they sell everything from audio and TV equipment to build it yourself
PC's, WI-FI hardware, every kind of cable imaginable, and addon hardware you didn't even know existed!

Note that the updating service is good for 12 months from the date you install the 2005 version, so even if your older package is still giving you updates, this is a good purchase to install when your license runs out just as long as you install by 2/28/06.

For those who don't currently have Adobe Photoshop in some version, they were selling the "light" version for about $50 after rebates. A very good deal for the best software around for editing scanned or photographed images (like chips).
