vbg My first attribution: DGI chips (long) vbg

Several months ago, I received two chips in a trade with the initials, "DGI" on them.

Coincidentally, Chuck Tomarchio made a post around that time showing three other chips with the letters "DGI", with a font that matched the font and design of the white chip. One of his chips was orange, and two were green, both of which had inserts. All had the same mold. Chuck had been told by the person who he got them from that he got them from a place he had been dealing in New York called Duro Gaming Inc. I contacted the person who traded the two chips to me, but never received additional information, except that she got them at a garage sale on Long Island. I checked the New York State Department of State web-site and discovered a company formed in 1964 called Duro Games Inc., located in Brooklyn, New York. The company is no longer active, and I could not locate the contact person listed, probably their lawyer. I then remembered an initial search I made on the internet in which I located a company in Central Islip, Suffolk County on Long Island, New York, called Duro Sales Inc. and Duro Sales and Games Inc. They rent equipment, including casino games, for large parties and weddings. I tried to e-mail them with no success. I then called them and explained that I was trying to identify the chips I had. I described the chips to them over the telephone, including colors and mold design, and offered to send them scans. They quickly said the chips were theirs, but didn't offer any other information. I reiterated the H on the mold, and they said they were definitely theirs. I confirmed that they run casino games for parties and weddings. I can't tell if the predecessor company in Brooklyn ran the same type of games for parties, but they confirmed that they were the same company. It's not rock solid, but for now, we have corroboration from two sources. I would appreciate any comments from some of those who have investigated chips. Is this enough, or do I need to go see this place before this attribution is accepted? It could be awhile before I get the opportunity to do that. In any case, it has been fun. vbg
