Browser type has no bearing on IP address
In Response To: AOL IP address ()

The IP address originates from your Internet Service Providers local central office usually. The browser, be it Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Communicator, Internet Explorer, etc., is just a program running on your computer and has no bearing on IP.

If you are logged into the Internet using a AOL account, a AOL IP will be listed with your message when you post to the chipboard. If you are using a Comcast account to access the Internet, a Comcast IP address will be logged with your message here on the board.

Hope I didn't make that confusing!

Cheers!
Bill
