Club Bingo, Fremont St.

I received so much great feedback regarding my recent silver strike query that I'm posting a new question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. It's regarding another research conundrum posed by one of our Las Vegas Advisor subscribers, namely whatever happened to her "beloved Club Bingo downtown?"

I've got as far as working out that there have been two Club Bingos in Vegas, one on the site of the current Sahara and one at 23 E. Fremont St., which must be the one in question. But that's about all I've managed to glean so far. So my questions are: Were the two properties related in any way? Why did the Fremont Street venue close? Was it a bingo hall exclusively or a hotel-casino too (I've seen chips purporting to be from Club Bingo, making me think it must have been a casino). What now occupies its former site (my initial sleuthing at the Clark County assessor's site seems to indicate a company called Schiff Enterprises, but I'm not 100% certain).

Any help anyone can give would, as always, be most gratefully received!

Best wishes
