Chips versus Silver Strikes

This is just a question I often ask myself and I wonder if other folks have ever thought about this.

$5 Chips normally cost $8-$10 and up - you get a pretty piece of art on the ~10oz piece of clay

$10 Silver Strikes normally cost $11-$14 and up - you get a beautiful 3D piece of art on a very heavy hunk of .999% silver

So my question - is the Silver Strike dramatically underpriced???

Just a thought - Fred
