So, there are four Newfoundlanders having a beer at a local pub in Deer Lake, Newfoundland. After a couple of pints, Bub decides to phone President Bush. He calls the White House and is put through.

He tells the Presdient that "Me and the boys from the Leigon are really unhappy about this whole Iraq thing and we're bringing all the boys from the leigon, two dorries and a trawler and we'll invade Washington and put a stop to all this nonsense. The president tells him that the US has the biggest and most technologically advanced Navy in the world, and that they are grossly outmatched. Bub tells him, "We'll have to call you back".

A couple of hours and a couple of pints pass. Bub again calls the president. "George, we've thought about the invasion by sea, and we've decided to rig up Billy's ultralight and we're going to drop molotov cocktails on the White House and we're going to put a stop to all this nonsense." Presidnet Bush politely explains to him the vast air power waiting for them if they ever try that one. Bub tells the president that he'll have to call him back.

A few more pints pass, and it's almost closing time. Bub again calls the president and wakes him up. "We've thought about the air strike, and you're right, so we're amassing an army to invade Washington." Bub goes on, "We've amassed the old-timers hockey teams from Deer Lake and Goose Bay, all the boys from the legion, and a couple of old vets and we're on our way."

President Bush, not understanding hockey asks him how many men that is. Bu explains that if everyone comes, including th goalies, it's about 60. President Bush laughs and tells him that the US has over 1,000,000 Army troops waiting for them to arrive.

Bub tells him, "We'll have to ponder that, we'll call you back".

Five minutes later, the phone rings at the White House and GW answers - "So Bub, have you thought about it?"

Bub sighs, "Yes sir, we have and we've called off the invasion. We can't feed that many prisoners".
