A plain old surge protector works fine for me at home and for us at work. I live in Florida the lightning capital of the world....and I work for a place that puts out jukeboxes, video games, poker machines and pool tables...all of our machines have the surge protector and I've been here since 89' and we have only lost a few jukes over that time and those were because of direct hits....and we get killer storms here everyday in the summer....just like clockwork.
