I've been locked up, "interned" if you will, in a correctional facility. I've also been subjected to additional scrutiny at airport security several times, last Friday at O'Hare the most recent. The additional scrutiny is an inconvenience. Being locked up is a heck of a lot more than inconvenient. There is no comparison.
