It's obvious that great importance is placed on the condition of chips. I'm not a chip collector but I have 5 chips and 6 room keys from the MGM Grand fire. The 2 roulette chips and 6 room keys have smoke damage. The three $25.00 chips are slightly melted, have smoke damage and one has a large chip on edge.
