Based on the evidence that I have......

collected, the orange chip would be and should be considered the Borland chip. It has the same color of hot-stamp (bronze) as all other Borland hot-stamps.

If you compare the real vs. the Borland hot stamp $1 Nevada mold you will see that the Borland chip is a different shade of beige (clearly different) and the hot stamp itself is bronze instead of gold.

When you compare the hot stamp of the real $1 Nevada mold to the orange $2 for $1 chip, the hot stamp coloring is identical. When you compare the Borland $1 Nevada mold to the purple $2 for $1 chip, the hot stamp coloring is also identical.

Did you take a look at the Flamingo Capri Revisited exhibit at the convention? If you had you would have seen the $2 for $1, the 25c, the 50c and the $1 real chips along side the imposters (Borlands).

If you disagree with the conclusions that I have come to, I would certainly love to see any evidence to the contrary. I'm not adverse to being corrected. vbg
