First off, that is great you got your chips back. Amazing really.

But can you still file charges on someone who returned your stuff? I know one of the stupid defenses criminals use is "I just borrowed it", but in this case, isn't it true?

I'm sure you could get them for a ton of other charges, but it theft one of them?
