You certainly wouldn't be normal if you didn't feel outrage at what happened while you away and left your home and dog in the care of someone you knew and trusted. What I find truly amazing is the attitudes of teenager's parents and that of her friend's parents. Her parents allowed her to house-sit, so did they assume you left the house that way to go on vacation? Someone should be forced to take responsibility and/or make restitution. You have my sympathy.
