Now I get this Slabbing biz......

I used to collect baseball cards and even had a store many years ago but got out of it when it went from 3 main brands (Topps, Fleer and Donruss) to a dozen or so and the whole thing just exploded out of control and killed the whole hobby for me. (Never did figure out why a Canseco rookie card was going for 100 bucks when a near to mint Roberto Clemente was going for 50 or so bucks) Anyway, I noticed a few years ago that all of a sudden these guys popped up with this grading crap....a 6,7, or 8 was pretty much worhtless....a 9 was worth a bundle...and a 10 was priceless...and from what I understand this form of pricing cards is a very big thing in the hobby. I hope this form a grading doesn't ever gain strength in the chip hobby....if it ever does, you can say goodbye to the fun of collecting and you'll be out-numbered by the ones in it for the money only and not the fun, comradeship and sheer joy of collecting. Long live the collectors and long live the sellers we have now within the Club and hobby.
