Alberta, Canada Chips - Trade or Sell

I have gathered a few more Alberta, Canada chips for sale or trade for US chips. These are all current rack chips. The top two rows are $3 each, including shipping. If you want one of each Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton chips, I will let them go at 2.50 each, including shipping. If you are interested in trading, contact me via email and we'll figure something out.

Top Row

Casino Edmonton $1 Poker Room - 9 available
Boomtown Casino $1 (Fort McMurray, Alberta) - 1 left, but I can get more.

Middle Row

Chipco Calgary Casino $1 - 4 left, they are fairly well used and being phased out for better chips, which I have traded for before.
Cash Casino, Red Deer $1 - 7 left, in fair condition, usual chipco wear.

Bottom Row

These are special and I will be taking orders and filling as much as I can. These are from the casino at Edmonton's Klondike Days (our big fair) and only runs for 10 days each year.

There are several varieties (three so far that I have seen) of the $1 reds, as it appears that they never got rid of chips over the years, just kept adding to the rack. The casino has operated under several names over the past 50 years and these chips are a reflection of that.

My plan is to go back tonight and get as many as I can, including the red hot stamp that I missed last night in cashing out. Appearantly, they frown on people taking the chips away in any quantity, and almost force you to color up at the table before you go. The guy who left before me was almost physically forced to color up before leaving the poker room. I will admit, that it was busy and they were having a problem getting enough chips into play, and I was glad I was poketing through the night.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will do my best to get you what I can - first come, first served. I would like to sell them for $4 each or trade for similar value LV chips. If I can get enough of all three to make some sets, I will sell the set of three for $10, all including postage. They are dirty, but mine cleaned up well.

I'd also be interested in some thoughts on how to value such chips. These are defiately older chips, but due to the infrequent annual use, don't get worn out and replaced. They are harder to get (10 days open in Edmonton, Alberta) and I havent seen too many out and about.

Thanks, TOM - the one in Canada!
